    The Raymore-Peculiar School District is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of Elementary Innovation Instructional Coach for the 2026-2027 School Year.  This position provides job-embedded and ongoing professional learning experiences for teachers and staff through effective coaching practices which include assessing student and teacher needs, co-planning, modeling, co-teaching, assisting, observing and providing feedback. This includes, but is not limited to, project-based learning (PBL), competency-based learning (CBL), STEM integration and the effective use of technology in the classroom which includes the use of research-based, high yield instructional strategies and real world application.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrates a strong foundation in pedagogy and teaching methodologies with proven knowledge of innovative instructional strategies in school settings
    • Collaborates with and demonstrates to instructional staff on a variety of topics ( e.g. curriculum, assessments, instructional practices, learning strategies)
    • Analyzes data with a variety of groups to determine best instructional adjustments and revisions.
    • Creates authentic relationships to gain respect of peers to help coach them towards continued professional growth
    • Participates in a variety of meetings (e.g. district level meetings, professional development training sessions, curriculum writing committees, state and regional meetings, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
    • Evaluates research findings and industry "best practices" for the purpose of modifying and improving the District's curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development programs.
    • Demonstrates a working knowledge of a variety of educational technologies.
    • Leads in the design and delivery of the professional development activities for principals, teachers and support professionals for the purpose of integrating innovative teaching approaches and techniques into the daily execution of the curricular/instructional program.
    • Provides support and direction to teachers, including developing, disseminating, and modeling "best practices" and strategies for the purpose of enhancing teacher effectiveness that results in increased student learning and performance.
    • Observes teachers in their classrooms and offer insights; co-teach and model lessons as needed.
    • Facilitates the use of research-based instructional technology teaching strategies and best practices to address the needs of teachers, students, and school goals.
    • Maintains the integrity of licensing for all technology applications installed on site and adheres to school division policies and regulations dealing with licensing.
    • Mentors new teachers in a variety of educational environments for the purpose of monitoring performance, providing for professional growth, and achieving overall objectives of the district's curriculum.

    Qualifications:
